How long have you been in the hobby? The R/C hobby in general - 18 years. The flying aspect? About nine years.
How did you get started in the hobby? I started with R/C cars and R/C helicopters. Then I found my true love for R/C: FPV quads!
What machines/equipment are you running? If I answer this I have to acknowledge just how many machines I have, but my favorite machines are my Blackout quads. Of course all of my quads run Cobra Motors too.
Recent competitions/fun-flys attended? Unfortunately, there aren't many multirotor fun-flys and/or competitions here. Good news is that a friend and I bought a multirotor lap timing system so we can soon start holding time attack events and racing. It should be lots of fun!
Which is your favorite Scorpion/Cobra product? I would have to say the [Cobra] 2204/32-1960kv motor is probably my favorite. It's a very good motor that has many applications. 5" props , 6" props, 2s/3s/4s...it just works!

How did you get started in the hobby? I have always wanted to be a pilot and saw RC on YouTube...so I found a local club and joined...my hobby went onwards and upwards form there.
What machines/equipment are you running? Patsminih Minion with cobra 2204 1960kv = powahh
Patsminih prototype frame with 2208 2000kv cobras = even more powahh
Both rigs run cobra...they are reliable and produce a tonne of power...tried other motors but nothing comes close
Recent competitions/fun-flys attended? Maddogs 7 and 8 fpv meet
Favourite place to fly = Cannock chase

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Age: 25 years young
How long have you been in the hobby? Only about a year.
How did you get started in the hobby? It all started with a cheap coaxial mall kiosk helicopter, which immediately lead to a Gaui X5 6S collective pitch air punishing monster. After flying for a month or so I stumbled upon "Flite Test" on YouTube. Those guys lit the spark that grew into my serious passion for RC modeling and the awesome world of FPV.
What machines/equipment are you running? I fly a variety of aircraft, mainly focused around "Blackout" FPV frames and long range FPV wings like the ZII. I also have multiple LOS night fly quads and 3D profile planes.

Recent competitions/fun-flys attended? I am a huge advocate for getting a local FPV scene started here in Atlanta, Georgia. With the start of 2015 I have been staging small local FPV meets, and spreading the word about this fantastic hobby.
Which is your favorite Scorpion/Cobra product? The Cobra 2204/28 2300kv are amazing. These motors are so lightweight(24.6g!) and ungodly durable. They handle the amp draw of 4S setups with ease and they output some serious thrust too. These are my go to motors for super fast and responsive 4S 5" prop combinations.

How long have you been in the hobby? R/C pretty much my whole life. Flying mini quads seriously for about a year.
How did you get started in the hobby? I came out of my mother holding a transmitter.
What machines/equipment are you running? I've been flying a 5" blackout pretty exclusively. It just works for me. I run the kiss escs even though they are extremely volatile. For motors I run 2204 2300kv cobras. It takes A LOT to kill these things and I haven't met anyone so far that is harder on equipment than I am :)
Recent competitions/fun-flys attended? Just got back from the drone nationals in California. Placed 5th out of 120ish so I guess that's worth mentioning ... Even though racing isn't exactly my thing it was a hell of a time and met some fantastic people out there!
Race or Freestyle? FREESTYLE. No question. Being able to take a landscape and using it in your own unique way to paint a picture is something you can't quite put into words. Ok this sounds a little weird put you get the picture (zing!)...
Seriously though, the creativity and open-endedness while flying freestyle is something that racing doesn't have... and never will.

How long have you been in the hobby? A little over 2 years now, but was messing with RC trucks in JR high.
How did you get started in the hobby? I saw my first multirotor at Coachella in 2013. I was like, "what the heck is that?!?!?". After attending multirotors 101 (aka Google), I built my first multi (a tricopter) and flew it LOS. But it wasn't until I discovered FPV when this hobby of mine turned into an addiction.
What machines/equipment are you running? ImmersionRC Vortex and FPV gear, Cobra power setup, Fatshark Goggles and Taranis radio.
Recent competitions/fun-flys attended? SoCalRotorRacing local event in Long Beach. But excited for upcoming Drone Racing League and Drone Nationals events.
